Competencies

Post by leighjones123 »

Hello,

I have created a competency and assigned it to a company role with an expiration date. The user will gain the competency by completing the course.

Is there anywhere I can pull a report for all users within the company role and their competency status?

For example:

My team will all need to be "competent" in health and safety and re-take this every 6 months.
Can I pull a report to see who has completed this or not?
Can they see expired competencies anywhere?

Thanks

Then, if you also use the Roles and link them to the competencies, you'll be able to pull specific reports from the "roles" section. With skills gaps, expiration dates etc.

Hi Max.

Thanks for the point in the right direction - just found the Gap Analysis section :)

Cheers!

Is there any way that a user can see their own competency status? i.e. see which ones have expired?

If you enable the "competences" button, the user would see their competences in the user panel

Hello all,

I am new to formalms but I am amazed as the flexibility forma lms can provide an organisation.
I have added some competence to a user role and they have expired. However the users doesn't get any notification or alert about it nor are they prompted for retest. How can we schedule a retest of course to gain back the competences. Gap analysis shows it for admin but the user is not made aware of it. The competencies section shows those competencies with a green tick in the Required column. Not sure if i am doing something wrong while configuring.

Just some background.
I have user roles, and have assigned competences with expiry date of 1 day for testing purpose. For a course i have assigned those competencies. In the course we have a test(not using competences in feedback section of course.)

Can anyone help me out on this? Are there any cron-jobs to be scheduled for this?

Hi,
first of all, a student can't retake the same course (unless an admin cleans manually his progress and tracking in the course) so you will have to find another way the competence could be achieved again.
Second, I suppose there is a bug with the expiration, if you find the green check is still there as soon as the expiration date is reached.
Third and last, there is no event to handle competence expiration notification but it could be implemented.
