Hi, thanks for your feedback, althouth it's a little off-topic. Some quick answers:

  • Forma already handles certificates
  • H5P: we've been asked to integrate it. It if will be done, it will likely be as a commercial plugin
  • reporting: Forma already has all the reporting you need, as well as some dashboards
  • refresher training and re-certification: we have commercial plugins for that

Thanks, the reporting seems a little limiting. Where can we add operators to the reporting query to select on specific criteria?

When creating a report there is a wizard that guides you and lets you choose the fields or the filters you want to be displayed.
That is already really powerful.

More sophisticated or customized reports can be added (preferably as plugins) with some development.

Handling H5p via a commercial plugin would be crazy. H5p is becoming a standard that is bigger than an lms. Eventually people will be choosing an lms based on its support of H5p as a primary factor.

As commercial plugins for forma are not available on a demo basis, commercial companies will not take a chance on something that may not work. They'd rather pay for a known solution such as Rise

To do something similar on FORMA LMS, it should be made LTI compatible.
The implementation is very complex as you can see here: http://www.imsglobal.org/specs/ltiv2p0/ ... tion-guide

Can you image how much this would cost? If you were able to do that, would you give it away to the community? And if you were not able (as I suppose) would you take over of the implementation costs and then give it away to the community?

No, I'd just opt for a system that supported it integrally, like Moodle, and sign up for their Workplace installation. Or go for Canvas or Drupal instead.

If Forma wishes to become a mainstream LMS for business (which I believe it could well become), then it'll need to be a rounded package. No real business is going to pay for something without trialling it first.

If this is a NEEDED feature for you, I'm afraid you have to switch to Moodle or whatever else you want, at the moment.
