Getting scores from SCORM quizes

Post by neurotic »

Hi FormaLMS Community,

We have imported SCORM files into FormaLMS.
These SCORM files have quizes (AKA tests).
But when students take quizes, the quiz scores are not picked up by FormaLMS in Course > STUDENT AREA > Report Card.
How can FormaLMS get the scores from SCORM quizes and placed into the "Report Card"?

Thank you!

Hi,
please go to Teacher Area > Gradebook
and click on new activity (in the Overview TAB). Select "Add Scorm Results"
Then, in the detail tab, you will find the scores.
I am not sure this is also reflected in the student's report card

Scorm version is not an issue.
This might have to do with the publishing options.
First: are you sure those users did not actually achieve 0?
Then: in the publishing options of your scorm editor, what choices did you make regarding completion?
For example, with Articulate it is passed/failed if you have a quiz.

Hi Max,
Thank you for your instructions.
But i only have few settings on completion on my scorm publisher.
So not possible for my scorm publisher to pass results to LMS with exact quiz result.
weird thing is if perfect, i can gather all result at Reports.

See image attached.

Hi Nadz,
thank you for your feedback, I think the mystery is solved.

- your publisher is not able to commit exact scores to an LMS => your screenshot shows exactly that. There is no option to "send the achieved score".
- yet, your publisher is able to pass the status "completed" or "incomplete".
- completed = 100%
- incomplete = 0%
That's why you can only have these 2 statuses.

Well, it's a long list.... it depends on your needs and on your budget. Do you need to import power point slides or to create from scratch? Are you on a tight budget or can you spend? Just a few names:
Articulate 360
Adobe Captivate
Xerte
https://www.capterra.com/course-authoring-software/ > but look carefully, in this category there's a mix of scorm publishers and platforms with built-in publishing tools. I guess you should only look for the former.
