I came across a minus issues, but it affect the student.
Login as a student, proceed to course documents, them click on the link to LO to play.
The application open twice. see image.

Very strange, I've never seen this issue. Could you share the steps to reproduce it?
What tool did you use to make your scorm?
Are you sure you were not logged out? Or maybe cache issues?

Here are the steps:
1) Login as a student or user
2) Click on the module that you want to play
3) click on Course Documents
4) click on the LO.

Wampserver : on localhost
php ver 5.4.3
apache 2.2.22
MySql 5.5.24
Windows 7 - update, ( i7, 128mb memory, 1080 Nvidia )
Captivate 9 or 2019
I usually clear the cache.( on the browser and on the server - C:\wamp\www\formalms2test\files\cache\twig )

It does not happen all the time but when it happen I am usually login as a student.
I will monitor it, to get a better ideas what going on.

I cannot reproduce it, but maybe I didn't understand.

Just to be sure, essentially you said:
- click on the LO (click on the module you want to play: this is what you meant, right? clicking on the LO....)
- click on course documents
- click on the LO

I think there is a missing step after the first "click on the LO" => of course if you launch it it opens...and then what happens? you close it - go back to documents and re-open it?

we never experienced "the double player" run .
What browser are you using ? on witch device /OS ?

from forma.lms point of view: have you set the course properties "Directly play the first Learning Object in the player" ?

I am using the latest Firefox Version 63.0.3 , Vivaldi 2.1.1337.47 , and IE 11 . the OS wins 7 64bit.
I also check "Directly play the first Learning Object in the player" .
Like I said before I will be on the look out for that behavior.
The browser that I was using when it happen was Firefox.
It does not happen all the times.
I develop e-learning material for the shipping industries and legal services.
The reason why I am testing forma.lms is because there is going to be huge demand
for LMS because the the state of NY and the federal government are requiring mandatory training for
*** harassment for all corporate employee.
I can post the requirements, but one thing for sure is that the LMS must be SCORM compliance and certify.
