Courses

Post by balakumar »

Hi!,
Why can't students view the course category wise?

First of all, are you sure that the course is actually under a category?
If it is, it may depend on several visibility settings you might have selected, either under Administration>configuration or in the options of the course itself.

Hi Max,
Thanks for the reply, all the courses are under a category, but I could not arrange it category wise in students page. Could you please lead me to attain this? Thanks.

Categories only appear in front end under the "Catalogue" tab, not in the "Elearning" Tab.
Under Elearning the student sees the courses he is enrolled to, so there's no need to categorise.
Under Catalogue, he sees the available courses => categories are useful
I suppose the "Catalogue" tab is turned off, you should turn it on under administration>elearning>settings>user area LMS (I don't remember the exact positions and exact names in the menu, but I think you'll find the right item)

Hi, this is off-topic, doesn't have anything to do with courses.
Please avoid posting OT messages:
- check your problem before posting, either in the manual or in the forum itself
- if you don't find anything, create a new topic

In this case, time-zone has to do with the server settings, it's not configured in the LMS. It was enough to look for "time-zone"...

viewtopic.php?f=11&t=342&p=958&hilit=time+zone#p958
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11953&p=14743&hilit ... one#p14743 (in Italian, but you can google-translate it)
