Change Forma 2.0 colours

Post by topgeek »

Hi there

I am not familiar with CSS.

Is there any way I can do a search and replace on the hex value for the orange colour used on the forma site and substitute and alternative hex value in relevant .css file?

Thanks

Will you use a shell? Windows search and replace function? What?

Was just intending to download the relevant files use notepad ++ to do search and replace and then re-upload to my site.

Hi there,

Thank you for responding.

I made a copy of the template folder and changed my settings in Forma 2.0 to use that as my default template.

Replaced all values of the default orange colour, #c84000 with my new colour and copied the files back over the old css in my new template folder.

Cleared my browser cache... no change to base colours in Forma :(

Do you have any other ideas?

Maybe your user is assigned to an orgchart node that still uses the old template.

Try also clearing the twig cache, deleting everything under /files/cache/twig

In forma 2.0 you don't need to edit all the stylesheets, just go under /templates/standard/style, rename the file custom.dist.css to custom.css, and edit this single file.
This way you'll be able to update your templates upon new releases without losing your changes.

To make it even easier, if you like, we also developed a commercial Template Editor Plugin for Forma 2.0, that simplifies the creation, editing and updating of templates.

Thanks for responding.

I only have two users - an Admin and one learner. How can I workout whether they are assigned to the old template?

Thanks

Templates can be assigned to orgchart nodes, so if users are in different nodes they might see different templates
