Codes for automatic subscription

The manual states:

"The Code function generates codes to assign to users through which they can obtain automatic subscriptions to the platform and to a specific series of courses."

I've set up a code via Main > configuration > codes but I'm not sure what happens next? How do we give users this code? Where do they use it so that they are automatically added to the correct node and course? The manual doesn't make this part very clear. Thanks.

Hi Lilian, in admin area go to elearning > settings > User Area in LMS, and activate the "Activate Course" module.
This will add a tab i n frontend where users can insert the codes for course subscription.

Codes are not sent automatically to users.

Let us know if somenthing's still not clear

What You typically do is:
Export the list of random Codes into an Excel list
When a user self-subscribes you e-mail him the first random code and flag it in your Excel file as "assigned"
and so on with the next one
