Location of Logo and Background Image on Login Page

Post by rickbrinkman »

Greetings,

I am wanting to put my logo and a custom image on the login page.

I thought the logo would be in the following path:
formalms > templates > standard > images > company_logo.png

And the background image at this path:
formalms > templates > standard > images > login > image.jpg

However, although I have replaced both graphics via FTP, my login page does not show any changes.

How can I do that?

Thank you,

Dr. Rick

Hello, and welcome on board!

The 2 paths you refer to are exactly those you are looking for, and replacing those files is exactly what you should do.

- have you tried emptying your cache and refreshing your page?
- did you replace your files in the right template folder? I don't know if it's your case, but you might have more than one template. Thus, you might have replaced the images in the wrong template folder (i.e. not in the one you are using)
- finally: are you sure you have overwritten the old files?

Hi Max,

Thank you for the reply.

In answer to your questions:

- I have tried emptying the cache and refreshing and using different browsers on multiple platforms.
- The only "Template" folder I am aware of is the one in the FormaLMS folder. I can confirm that my custom logo and image for background are there in that one of my FTP clients (Transmit on Mac) can show a preview, screenshot below and I also have downloaded to my desktop from the FormaLMS install and the custom graphics are there.

- After it didn't change the first time, I deleted the graphic files in FormaLMS just to be sure before I copied new ones in.

Since one picture is worth a thousand words here are screenshots.

Hi Rick

you can check like this:

LOGO => http://YOURURL/templates/standard/image ... y_logo.png
LOGIN IMAGE => http://YOURURL/templates/standard/image ... /image.jpg. The suggested size is actually 900x376, not 372
scorm: the path you refer to is right, this is the path in any installation: ....../public_html/files/appLms/scorm

Hi Max,

I discovered that the problem was the DNS Nameservers were not pointing to the right host. I have two different hosts, one for only my primary rickbrinkman.com and the other host for about 7 other sites.

I wanted to host formalms on the host with multiple sites.
But now I recall that I ran into some problems, so I put it on my other host where the install went smoothly. I had originally intended to figure out what was wrong on the first host and get it to work there but apparently never did.

Now six months later, I was going to the place where I expected it to be, on the host with the multiple sites.

You were right that it was a version of having an additional formalms install and in this case on two different hosts/

Thank you for your help.
