User Inherit

Good evening,

I was looking at the Assign node fields options for adding some custom fields to my various nodes. There is an option for "user inherit". What is the difference between that and the "Descendants" option? I know the Descendants option will make that field apply to all subsequent nodes under the node where the Descendants assignment is made, but what about the User Inherit?

There used to be some documentation with Docebo, but I can't seem to locate it or access it. Please help.
